Researchor is a marketplace for research services. A client describes what they need, qualified experts propose how they would do it, and the money sits in escrow until the work is approved.
The path, end to end
- Create a project. Describe the research question, the methodology if you have one, the data you hold, the deadline and the budget.
- Matching. Researchor compares your brief against expert profiles (field, methodology, availability and delivery history) and surfaces the strongest fits.
- Proposals. Experts submit offers stating scope, milestones, fee, deadline and how many revisions are included.
- Select an expert. Compare proposals, read profiles, message the experts you are considering.
- Contract. Accepting a proposal forms the contract between you and that expert on the terms the proposal stated.
- Escrow. You fund the first milestone before work begins. The money is held, not paid out.
- Milestones. Work proceeds in defined phases, each with its own deliverable and deadline.
- Delivery. The expert submits. Every deliverable is screened before you see it.
- Review and revision. You review. Within the agreed scope you can request revisions.
- Approval. Approving releases that milestone's payment to the expert.
- Completion. When every milestone is approved, the project closes with a full handoff of files and the record of what happened.
What each side is protecting
The client is protected by never paying for work they have not seen and approved. The expert is protected by never starting work that is not already funded.
Both are protected by the dispute process when the two positions do not meet.
